It's been a long time since I last posted here. As I review my earlier posts, I realize why I began writing these posts. I wanted to create a record of my journey as an entrepreneur. Not too long after, I experimented with Tumblr just to expand my social media skills and knowledge a bit. I named my tumblr blog there, "A Gamer's Life". It was supposed to be a a public record of the different gaming related events and adventures that I go on. I eventually stopped posting on that and played around with Youtube.
But now, months later, i realize that I am capable of creating good content, but I had issues focusing my energies. I would put a good, but small splash in many different areas, but never really built those splashes up into a large wave. It was only recently that I started getting back into writing blogs and stuff. But at the same time I realize that if I'm going to come back and do this again, that I would do it right and make something meaningful out of it. So I've decided that I would continue my future posts on Tumblr. This decision is mainly due to Tumblr being generally more user friendly and more well known in the current generation of internet users.
I don't know how convoluted my future posts on my blog will be, but I guess I'll fix that problem when I come to it. You can follow my tumblr at http://grandjason.tumblr.com/
And I guess that's it. This will be second to final post on this blog. My final post here will be at the end of the 1000 days to say whether I made it or not. I've only got about 400 of 1000 days left, so the 2014 is going to have to be a super productive year. So thanks for reading this post and I hope you catch me on my tumblr blog.

Making things work out
I'm not sure if many entrepreneurs have faced the same challenges with money as I have recently. I've always believed that money should never be a focus within anything, that's including business as well. But honestly, life is kinda tough. I can understand what people go through to get ends to meet. I suppose I've been young and naive until now. Not many of us can seriously look into something like business or entrepreneurship because of no guarantees. Life is surprisingly difficult without a job.
Cutting living expenses to make ends meet is no fun task. I've been able to manage, but living life frugally takes away from one's energy for life. When one is poor, everything seems out of reach. To numb the pain, you just stop wanting things. Needless to say, this is a slippery slope for many, and gives some insight into why people stay unemployed for long periods of time.
I won't accept this outcome though. I know the fundamental problem is a lack of money. But this stems from being unable to find any paid work. It seems like I'm too inexperienced to do any work that I'm qualified to do as well as too old and overqualified to take a cheap retail job. The only roles that seem to be open to me seem to be scams and pyramid schemes. Needless to say, I'm not touching any of that B***S***... again.
I guess I'll have to continue doing what I've been doing all this time, tutoring. I wanted to find a legitimate job and start building some connections and references, but I guess life works in interesting ways. I don't know if I can find any work, now that school is out. But I got to forge on ahead, the road backwards is not an option. I have a whole bunch of little thoughts in my mind, I'll write short posts about them later. I don't know what this post is about. I guess its just a record of me struggling over money and work right now. I bet I'll read this in years to come and laugh about it. But until then, I don't know.

The Million Dollar Question
So on Friday, I met up and had a chat with one of my closest entrepreneurial friends, Tango. We met up in Brisbane and headed down to the Gold Coast together. During the ride, we had plenty of time to chat. Every time we meet up to chat, we both gain so much. What we each learn on our own journey as entrepreneurs is so relevant to each other. The coolest part of our discussion is where Tango talked about this thing called a "Webina", which is the combination of the words "web" and "seminar". It's where a person give a live presentation via a online stream and there's a IRC-type chatbox on the right side. Now for you guys that have been keeping up with online gaming in the recent years, this exactly like a online game stream such as Twitch.TV. I had thought this online stream format was reasonably new and was hardly used outside of gaming. I was so surprised at this.
That was just one of the many things that we had gained from our conversation. Eventually during the discussion, I thought back to a question from one of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad audio books. It was the million dollar question as he called it, how does one take what they do and do it for more people while doing it for less? Simplistically this question is, how can you take your skill/profession/trade and scale it to provide more value and/or reduce per-unit cost.
So with this, the penny dropped (a connection of ideas). I had recently been playing around with Youtube and Internet Streams and realized this was one way we could scale-up what we were doing here. Tango and I basically meet up to bounce ideas and to share entrepreneurial insights. These discussions always turned out well, because this was one of our core skills, to think like entrepreneurs. So what if we leveraged some of our entrepreneurial networks to have 3-person chats like this one and combined with a stream/youtube to get the ideas out there. Fleshing out this idea a bit more, we thought this could be something with potential. So we decided to keep this idea noted and do a bit of research on this.
So right now, this is another small project that I'm really looking forward to working on. But it's funny how something like this began. Basically I just observed what we enjoyed doing and what we did best and thought of a way that might be able to share or create that value for others. I think this might be a good thought to have when working on my other projects.
So that's it for now. Thanks for reading, and all the best until next time.
TL;DR
- Do what you enjoy / Do what you are good at
- observe how it provides value/enjoyment to others
- think of some way (potentially using technology) to scale up what you do
???
> Profit ( I hope you guys got the reference)
